Philip Obermarck brings us the mummified heart of a Norse giant.
While going through his famous grandfather’s belongings after his passing in 1937, violinist Lars Sigerson discovered this casket with its gruesome contents. It appears to have been passed from generation to generation within his family for hundreds of years. The explanation and whatever story that goes with it has been lost to the ages.
The inscription on the casket is written in old Norse runes and reads:
“Behold! Within this casket lies the heart of the fierce and terrible giant known as Hrungnir, slain this day by Fafrd the Red whose bravery and cunning shall live forever!”

Last week, M.I.A. unleashed her manic remix of Beyoncé’s “Flawless,” and today she’s back with the long-awaited video for her frenzied Matangi cut “Double Bubble Trouble”—though, once again, not without more infighting with her record label. After claiming Universal Music Group held the self-directed video for four days, she uploaded it herself this morning on YouTube. But, immediately, UMG blocked the video from being played, citing “copyright grounds.” M.I.A. then retaliated, going on a Twitter rampage in which she re-tweeted disgruntled fans’ demands to see the video. And it appears that worked, as you can finally stream the polarizing piece of work. (x)
This is my pull on how almost every large religion is very alike. I do not know why I actually made this, it’s purely brain-diarrhea, but essentially it has a scientific-ish flavor, and I actually love the image that I ended up creating. Thinking about having this as a tattoo one day. As you can tell I just googled the illustrations and combined them paint-esque, so it does not look professional AT ALL… but I kinda like that for some reason.
My brain works in mysterious ways, and this image basically tells you how my mind works when I’m not doing anything else. The meaning behind needs a lot of explanation, so if you’re interested, then do not hesitate to send me questions in my “ask” ;)
~the reason why I PrtSc-ned it, is because I don’t want you guys stealing my shit ;)
This is a photo of me in the middle, obviously) and my two best girls, Luna and Jules. I love this photo even though it’s not taken that well x)
This is a graphic illustration of me made by my best friend Jules. It’s freaky that it actually looks like me… a lot xD
If you’re confused on the scription; we were making sure people voted on something on Facebook ‘cause we were hosting a party - “fæææst” is a weird way spelling “fest”, which in danish means “party”. So it might make more sense now„, or maybe even less.
